Sheep, a common breeder of the genus Sheep of the Bovine family. Full-bodied with dense hair. Short head. Male sheep have large spiral horns, which are very dignified but actually play a good-looking role. Female sheep have no horns or only small horns.
The coat is white. Sheep were first domesticated in Southwest Asia about 11,000 years ago. Sheep are now raised all over the world. They are timid, gentle and domesticated.
At present, most of the highly domesticated breeds are perennial estrus, while the local grazing breeds are seasonal estrus, mostly in autumn and winter estrus.
The pregnancy period of female sheep is 145-152 days. One to five offspring per fetus. Life span is 10 to 15 years.
